The homestead kitchen is far more than somewhere to store and prepare meals. Drying, fermenting and cheese making can all be happening at any given moment in my kitchen, with apple cider vinegar fermenting on the worktop, curds hanging from cupboard door handles and sourdough starter bubbling away on top of the fridge all at once!
